Hello dear regular reader, nice to see you again! Macro photography, a discipline where beauty lies in the tiny details, capturing unsuspected worlds on a miniature scale. If you've ever been intrigued by the complexity of the little things around us, then welcome to the captivating world of macro photography.
This specialized photographic technique involves capturing subjects at a close scale, revealing details that often escape the naked eye. Whether it's the delicate velvet of a butterfly wing, the crystalline droplets of morning dew or the complex textures of a flower petal, macro photography transports us beyond ordinary reality.
One of the most exciting aspects of macro photography is how it transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. A simple blade of grass becomes a mystical forest, a drop of water a suspended planet. It is an invitation to explore the infinitely small, to rediscover the beauty in seemingly trivial details.
The key to success in macro photography lies in mastering depth of field, light and composition. Each shot is a delicate equation between technique and creativity, requiring meticulous attention to camera settings and a deep understanding of the subject.
Whether you are a passionate amateur or a seasoned professional, macro photography offers a unique opportunity to develop your artistic eye and redefine your relationship with nature. It's a journey into the world of details, a journey that can transform your perception of everyday life.
Prepare to delve into the infinitely small, explore miniature worlds and capture moments that reveal the grandeur hidden in every detail. Macro photography is the art of discovering beauty where you least expect it. Are you ready to get lost in this enchanting world of the tiny? So follow the guide!

IN PRACTICE :
Macro photography is a captivating photographic discipline that focuses on capturing detailed images at an extremely close scale. To successfully shoot macro, several key elements must be taken into account.
Macro Lens: Using a lens dedicated to macro photography is essential. These lenses are designed to provide very close focus, allowing tiny details to be captured. Commonly used focal lengths are between 60mm and 105mm, providing a short focusing distance while avoiding disturbing the subject. I can recommend the one from 7artisans, it's a 60 mm F2.8 which I find excellent value for money and which is available at AMAZON
Lighting: Light plays a crucial role in macro photography. Natural light is often favored for its softness, but the use of artificial light sources, such as macro lights or ring flashes, may be necessary to eliminate unwanted shadows and ensure adequate exposure.
Stability: Since the depth of field is very small in macro, even slight movements of the camera can compromise the sharpness of the image. The use of a tripod is strongly recommended to ensure optimal stability.
Settings:
Aperture (Focal): Opt for high aperture values (f/8 to f/16) to maximize depth of field and ensure extended focus.
Shutter speed: Due to the risk of camera shake, maintain a fast shutter speed. However, remember that this also depends on the ambient light and the use of additional light sources, so you will need to lower the shutter speed again.
ISO: Adjust the ISO according to the brightness. Keep it as low as possible to minimize noise, but don't hesitate to adjust it if the scene is poorly lit.
Experiment and experiment and you will find the right setting!
In short, my dear diligent reader, shooting macro photography requires specific equipment, particular attention to lighting and appropriate settings to capture striking details on a reduced scale. Patience and practice are also key elements to mastering this artistic discipline.
See you later in a next post! Take care of yourself !
